Overlooking the forest of Morrar Fang, and silhouetted against the larger of the two moons of Atha Plenter on a promontory of rock in the snow-covered hills of Fil Caustra, stood the tall figure of Jacq Illu San. With his back to the east, he directed his gaze across the plains of Cirrus Frai, from the vast forest in the north, over the undulating and for the most part snow-covered lands of that continent, towards the great mountain range of Ylamphia to the south.
